Abstract
The physical properties of sunflower seed includes shape and size, unit mass, densities, carrying or terminal velocity, coefficient of friction, angle of repose, etc. The paper contained the research of previous researcher related to the physical, aerodynamic and mechanical properties along with dehulling ability of sunflower seed. Such basic information is important not only to engineers but also to food scientists, processors because information on moisture-dependent physical properties of sunflower seeds such as geometrical dimensions, bulk density, true density, and porosity of sunflower seeds is essential for design of storage structures, dehulling equipments, and processes.
