LAKE SCHOOL ENGLISH ROMANTIC POETS: “POETRY OF IMAGINATION” IN A HISTORICAL AND BIOGRAPHICAL CONTEXT

Introduction. The emergence of the new aesthetic movement of English Romanticism, with the Lake School poets as its «senior» representatives, had been taking place amidst fundamental socio-political changes. Their socio-political and aesthetic views underwent significant transformations in the course of their lives. In this context, a need arises to investigate the sources of their initial views, as well as the paths and reasons for their evolution.
