Abstract
This article examines the legal regulation of the term “agricultural product” in the context of consumer contracts. It highlights contradictions between Ukrainian national legislation and EU rules regarding the scope and characteristics of agricultural products, especially their processing and intended use. It is shown that unclear legal definitions hinder effective Land law; agrarian law; environment law; natural rights protection of consumers who purchase these products for personal use. Different laws apply inconsistent approaches to the list of goods and lack definitions for “primary processing” and “additional processing”.
