Abstract
Stiffness of the shaft, strength of the shaft and lifting capacity of the bearings are the reviewed and compared factors. These three factors that describe the mechanical condition of the asynchronous engine are reviewed for the direct start of the engine, start using the thyristor voltage converter and transistor frequency converter. It was established that due to the soft starter at low intensities change control parameters can be calculated to exclude throws dynamic load bearing. The resulting deflection of the shaft with soft start reduces the stronger, the smaller the intensity of the parameter adjustment.
