Abstract
The authors of the study focus on studying the dynamics of the image of a teacher that has developed in the linguistic consciousness of Russians (1988-2020s). The study considers a teacher as the most important category of human existence and one of the components of Russian linguistic consciousness. A comparative analysis of the data of the RAS1996 and the materials we obtained as a result of the SAE2020 on the study of a fragment of the associative field “TEACHER” is presented. A comprehensive description of the content of linguistic consciousness and the structure of the associative field of a teacher is given. The specificity of the images of the world of Russians and changes in their attitude to the teaching profession are revealed.
