Abstract
System power induction-arc steelmaking complex on the basis of voltage source inverters and pulse-width converters using power semiconductor modules are proposed and described in this paper. Methods of control of the frequency converter at various stages of melting metal are developed. Methods of identification and management of electric arcs at the precipice of one of them are proposed.
