Abstract
The most efficient method to reconstruct high power electric drives built by the scheme generator?motor is the reconstruction of the excitation systems for these electric drives. This reconstruction provides, at minimum expenses, considerable improvement of static and dynamic values as well as maintenance reliability of the industrial unit. Applied solutions and tools can be used in the reconstruction of the main drives of cold rolling mills, as well as the reconstruction of the various actuators according to the generator?motor high power, installed on other industrial facilities.
