Abstract

The purpose of the work is to analyze the development and significance of Archeion, the oldest scholarly journal in Poland dedicated to archival science, since its founding in 1926. The study aims to highlight the journal's role in shaping archival discourse and its continued relevance in the modern era. Methodology. The research is based on a historical and content analysis of selected issues of Archeion, with a particular focus on recent publications. The study examines thematic trends, methodological approaches, and the journal's responsiveness to scientific and technological changes. Scientific novelty lies in the comprehensive overview of Archeion's evolution over nearly a century, emphasizing its adaptability and influence on the national archival community. The paper also identifies how the journal reflects broader transformations in archival theory and practice. Prospects for further studies include comparative analyses with other archival journals, exploration of Archeion's impact on archival education, and its role in fostering international collaboration among archivists. Its ability to integrate contemporary research and innovation ensures its continued importance as a resource for scholars and practitioners alike.
