Abstract
The existing methods for determining losses in the induction motor are suitable only for the initial linear (unsaturated) range of the magnetization curve have been shown.Using of those methods gives us a significant error in the saturation mode, or contains a large number of unknown elements, which makes them complex and difficult to use in practical purposes. A method, which is a further development of the well-known method for determining losses in the steel, but it in to account the magnetizing inductance that allow one to use in case of large saturation has been proposed. Expressions for determining the iron loss are represented in function of the magnetic flux, electromotive force and current, which makes them suitable for practical using.
