Abstract
The protection devices sensitivity increasing topicality for remote short-circuit currents in the failure protection remote backup implementation is grounded. A possibility of extending the implemented protection list of circuit breakers trip units, based on the digital processing of signals from the current sensors is justified. Effectiveness to extract more information about the processes in the electrical circuit according to the distortion degree of phase RMS currents during the transitional mode is confirmed. The fast increase current type identification possibility in a transient mode of disturbance electrical circuits is analyzed. The electrical circuit perturbations current type identification examples. The circuit breakers operation blocking criterion for induction motors direct start is proposed.
