Etymological peculiarities of names of cloths in English

The present article is devoted to the analysis of national-cultural specific of compound words expressing the appearance and character of a person in the English and Uzbek languages. Different approaches of linguists to the problem of national-culture, the interdependence of national-culture and language and the activity of compound words in expressing this linguistic phenomenon have been the main tasks of this work.
