Abstract
Knowledge and awareness with respect to female feticide was assessed among 700 coll ege students with the help of pretested self answered questionnaire. The questionnaire had questions covering different aspects of female feticide.The knowledge and awareness showed different levels of certitude Their awareness was categorized as high , medium and low leves depending on number of students answering the given question correctly .None of the students could even name of the acts that govern prenatal diagnostic tests and medical termination of preganancy.Their basic knowledge on legal aspect s was low
