Abstract

Mullerian origin adenocarcinoma is a high-grade, aggressive malignancy frequently diagnosed at an advanced stage and linked with poor prognosis. This case study outlines a 58-year-old woman diagnosed with metastatic adenocarcinoma of Mullerian origin, exhibiting high-grade serous papillary features confirmed through histopathology, elevated CA-125 levels (6675 U/ml), and immunohistochemistry. The patient underwent standard chemotherapy in combination with adjunctive herbal therapy, including CanHelp Syrup, CanHelp Tablet, LVR 24 Tonic, and Aml-Rid capsule. Therapeutic response was continuously observed using serial PET-CT scans, blood and urine parameters. The patient exhibited stable renal function, normal haematological profiles, and showed no signs of infection or immunosuppression. Clinical and radiological evaluations demonstrated marked reductions in ascites, pleural effusion, and both the size and metabolic activity of omental and peritoneal metastatic lesions. A significant decrease in CA-125 levels was observed, reaching 24 U/ml during follow-up. The patient's symptoms stabilised and quality of life improved notably. This study suggests that adjuvant herbal therapy may potentiate the effectiveness of conventional chemotherapy by offering immunomodulatory, anticancer, and chemo-protective benefits, necessitating further investigation into its role in managing advanced Mullerian origin adenocarcinoma.
