The aim of the study is to identify and analyze the semiotic means used in the stories by V.S. Tokareva, B.P. Ekimov and N.V. Gorlanova to create harmonious interpersonal communication between characters. The result will be the definition of the specifics of the author’s approach to modeling constructive dialog and its role in revealing the problems of the works. Based on the analysis of stories by V.S. Tokareva, B.P. Ekimov and N.V. Gorlanova, it is established that the harmonization of interpersonal communication in modern Russian prose is achieved through the use of a set of semiotic means, including verbal and nonverbal components. The specificity of the author’s approach to the modeling of constructive dialog is revealed, which consists in the use of linguistic means serving to achieve mutual understanding and resolving conflict situations. It is shown that the effective identification of semiotic resources contributes to the disclosure of the ideological and moral content of works and the formation of the author’s position regarding the humanistic aspects of human interaction.
