Abstract
Breast cancer is one of the most significant public health concerns affecting women globally. Among the available methods of early detection, Breast Self Examination BSE is a simple, cost effective, and accessible technique that enables women to monitor their breast health regularly. BSE involves a woman palpating her breasts for lumps, changes in shape, or any abnormal discharge, which may be indicative of breast cancer or other breast conditions. The mean post test knowledge score 25 was greater than the mean pre test score 14.9 . The mean difference between pre test and post test score was 10.1 . Pared ‘t' score was 9.73 and it was significant at p 2.045 level. Hence research hypothesis H1 was accepted. This indicates that the STP was effective in increasing the knowledge of nursing students regarding Breast self examination.
