PRIORITY TRENDS OF SCIENTIFIC SUPPORT OF UKRAINIAN FISHERIES

There are defined priority tasks of scientific support of Ukrainian fisheries according to the program “Fish Farming” ? “scientific support of aquaculture development and increase of ef- ficiency of aquatic bioresources use in inland waters of Ukraine” in the framework of scientific and technical programs of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences. There are presented data on basic trends of research works of the Institute of Fisheries of the UAAS, which are aimed at fulfillment of a number of fundamental and applied tasks regarding maintenance of sustainable development and study of biological resources of aquatic ecosystems, selection and genetics in fisheries, diagnosis, prevention and control of fish diseases, development of new ecologically and economically appropriate approaches of aquaculture implementation taking into account last tendencies in the management process.
