Abstract
The level of zooplankton production is calculated concerning vertical and latitudinal directions and different biotops of Dniepr reservoir. It is found out that in the modern period of the water-body existence the large part of food base in the form of zooplankton is not utilized. In this connection stocking of the reservoir with planktivorous fishes is offered.
