CRYOPRESERVATION OF PIKE (ESOX LUCIUS) AND ROACH (RUTILUS RUTILUS) SPERM

Abstract

The facility of pike (Esox lucius) and roach (Rutilus rutilus) sperm cryopreservation by previous developed method was shown. The condition of fish species cryopreservation such as medium, cryopreservatives and freezing ? thawing rates were determined. If initial activity of native sperm was 65% and 50% for pike and roach respectively the maximum remain of thawing sperm reached up to 35% and 20% respectively.
