Abstract

There are presented results of experiments on growing of paddlefish (Polyodon spathula (Walb.)) fry in conditions of repoductors of carp fish farms of Ukraine. For 15?35 days of growing in basins with a stocking density of 2?5 thousand individuals/m3, paddlefish fry reached average weight of 299,16?1823,60 mg. Average output from stocking by experiment variants varied within 35,73?77,23%. The highest level of fish survival was in experiments with feeding of fish with live zooplankton, the biomass of which was in average up to 30 mg/l. High indices of fish survival were also obtained in experiments with mixed variants of larva feeding (up to 70,35%). There were analyzed particularities of growth and nutrition of paddlefish larva during growing period. There were determined the effect of environmental conditions on efficiency of the pad- dlefish larva growing till viable stages.
