In article the phenomenon of ethno-cultural identity from positions subject-existential approach is analyzed. Ethnic identity is considered as finding of in standard and valuable space of ethno-culture that regulates not only external forms of behavior, but also its idea of the world and the place in this world. Objective and subjective threats of ethnic identity can become the mechanism of start of process of self-understanding of ethno-cultural identity
