E-BUSINESS SECURITY CHALLENGES

With the increasing use of the Internet and the advancement in information and communications technologies, businesses around the world are increasingly changing the way they do business using the internet which has led to the emergence of what is called New Economy, Global Economy, New trading place, or Electronic-Business (E-Business.) E-Business describes business transactions, customer services, ordering, delivery and payment, and intra-business tasks that make use of the public internet and the digital networked computing environment that links organizations and individuals in business, industry, non-profit institutions, government, and the home. In addition, e-business is being regarded as the way to go global at the touch of a button. This new type of economy or business has a lot of advantages compared to the traditional type; however, it comes with a lot of challenges especially those related to security issues. In this paper, I investigate, identify, classify, and present the different types of security challenges facing all types of e- businesses.
