Abstract
ABSTRACT The statistical behavior of the polarization mode dispersion (PMD) is well known in the scientific literature, but in the presence of twist, it did not reach the completeness. In this paper, we are presented a novel analyzes to model the PMD vector in the presence of twist. The simulation results shown that the DGD may be minimized by balancing the linear birefringence and twist rate magnitudes.
