Abstract
ABSTRACT The security triad of any company is mainly based on three components: Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability. In other words, this triad is based on keeping the system’s data always available when needed while preventing unauthorized individuals from accessing this data or causing harmful modification or destruction to it [1]. Human factors are considered the major threat that could intimidate the security triad of organizations when starting harmful and illegal attacks on the system. But ironically, the attackers depend mainly on the weakest point of any system: the human factor itself. The attackers focus on tricking legitimate users into revealing confidential information in an attempt to gain an unauthorized access to the system depending on some wrong security behavior done by the users. In this work we analyze the main advantages and disadvantages of text passwords and graphical passwords and we explain the reasons of replacement of text passwords by graphical passwords by giving a small algorithm application with its analysis and conclusions.
