Abstract

There has been an increase in the number of studies on poetry magazines recently. With these studies, a lot of unwritten poems in poets’ divans have been published. This shows that there are lots of poems of poets with divan, which were not written in their own divan ordivan publications. Shedding light upon literary taste of its term or compiler in a way, poetry magazines also carry a speciality of being an important source for poems waited for daylight. There may be a lot of reasons why the poems exist only on poetry magazines not in divans or divan publications. Poet might have only wanted his/her favourite poems to be in his divanwhile designing it or some of his poems might have been rough copy or magazine compiler might have taken them to his/her work. These poems might have been written after poet’s designation of his/her divan and he might have died before taking those poems to his/herdivan. The copy, seen by transcribers who organized magazine, might have been lost. Researches publishing divans might not have seen all the copies. Probably transcribers might have added those poems on his own or confused poets with same appellation. It’s possible to augment these reasons. One of poets with which we coincide some of his/her poems only in poetry magazines is also Muhibbî (Suleiman the Magnificient) who has one of the most voluminous divans in classical Turkish poetry. With these study, the poems which aren’t in Muhibbî’s divan and the latter studies are identified and texts of poems are given.
