Abstract
Discussed was one of the problems steelmaking process efficiency ? a clear idea of the nature of the thermodynamic solutions of arsenic in liquid iron. On the basis of this method and set the description of the concentration distribution of the diffusant in the direction of diffusion. Experimentally and theoretically determined was the diffusion coefficient of arsenic in the melt-solvent, and, spent about 10 times smaller than the calculated time, due to the contact of the substance with the melt. The comparison of data obtained experimentally and theoretically showed that they were quite close to each other, this confirms the accuracy of the developed method
