Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact Learning Management Systems have on employee turnover and explore the respondents’ perceptions about the benefits of the Learning Management System. The study relies on a quantitative multisite method. Data were obtained from an international organization headquartered at a southern state in the United States. Primary data was collected utilizing an online survey, which was then analyzed statistically. The results were triangulated using multiple data sources. Based on the data collected and analyzed, evidence was presented to support that both management and non-management participants believe the Learning Management System had a positive impact on the reduction of turnover. Additionally, both management and non-management participants equally felt the assessed impact and the perceived benefit of the Learning Management System was positive. The study expands the understanding of the perceived value and benefits of utilizing Learning Management Systems. Training properly applied is a factor in reducing employee turnover. This brings organizations the value of delivery and management of training through Learning Management Systems.
