Abstract
The idea concerning dependence of length of a protein molecule on degree of its coherence with other particles, in particular on degree of hydration which allowed to understand conversion of heat to mechanical energy and to ex-plain the mechanism of pulsations of cells [4], is applied to the work of cross-striped muscles. It allowed to improve Huxley theory [5] and to promote in understanding of highlights of contracting: sliding mechanism and conversion of heat energy of ATP hydrolysis to mechanical energy of sarcomere contracting.
