Abstract
The article presents the results of a study of the current condition and development trends of the tourism industry in Kazakhstan. The authors' conclusions are based on an analysis of official statistics and complemented with the results of a survey of managers of tourist companies and individual entrepreneurs of Astana. The study identified "problem areas" in the development of tourism, SWOT-analysis of the tourism industry condition of Republic of Kazakhstan.
