STUDI PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT TENTANG PENGELOLAAN LANSKAP AGROFORESTRI DI SEKITAR SUB DAS WAY BESAI, PROVINSI LAMPUNG

The narrowness of the average land that belongs to the community ( <0.3 ha per household) is one cause of increasing critical land and forest in Way Besai Sub Watershed, lampung Province. One solution to overcome this problem is application of agroforestry landscape management or application of agroforestry systems at the landscape scale. It system could be: (a) maintain the physical properties and soil fertility, (b) maintain the hydrological functions of the region, (c) maintain a reserve of carbon, (d) reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and (e) maintaining biodiversity. Research results at Tri Budi Syukur village, West lampung, in June 2010 found that respondents who have a good level of perception towards agroforestry landscape management as much as 42.07%, moderate perception was 28.28% and 29.65% respondents have low level of perception. Based on this research had known that very significant factors were land size, education and the amount of training; income was significant factor, and age and occupation concluded as not significant factors.
