Abstract
K - means clustering and watershed are the key techniques used as a combination, Edge detection procedure and region, merging are also used. Merging method based on mean gray values and edge strengths (T1, T2) are used to avoid over segmentation. To merge different regions of same object different gray levels are used. Fuzzy enhancement is used to realize the image detection; this also solves the problem of clearance. A comparative study of various edge detection techni ques is also proposed in this paper. To present the face mosaic, a statistical model containing mean images and Eigen an images are used instead of only one image template. The integration of digital image processing and laser light projection for the synt hesis of geo referenced 3D optical maps of underwater scenes are developed through these techniques.
