High efficiency burner for heating open hearth furnace

Abstract
A new design of fuel oil-gas burner with two stages of dispersion of fuel oil by gas was developed and implemented at “Ilch Iron and steel works” in Mariupol. Obtained were improvement of organization of fuel oil-gas flame and management of the heat processing open hearth melting, economy of fuel (fuel oil + natural gas) not less then 7 kg of c.f./t steel, and also compressed air (20 - 40) m3/t steel
