Researchon Spam Filtering Techniques and Trend Analysis

ABSTRACT Email has become one of the essential means for communication and exchange in people’s daily life. However, the flood of spam emails has brought about serious consequences. Thus, distinguishing legitimate mails and spam emails in efficient way becomes an urgent task. Spam filtering is an initiative security defense technique. This paper starts with introducing the development and basic concept of the spam; then it classifies the spam filtering techniques as per different standards and reviews the various spam filtering techniques and methods. At last, it suggests the development direction of the spam filtering techniques.
