Abstract

In the space of a few decades, a lot of lexicographical works have been created describing cultural linguistic units (for example, a samovar, sandals, Pushkin, Sobakevich, etc.), in spite of this there is no formed a list, holistic typology and classification of data in cultural linguistic dictionaries. It turns out that dictionaries as separate elements of the system have been actively investigated, but an integrated systemhas not been built. This article lists formed cultural linguistic dictionaries, and builds their typology and classification. As the base for classification such criteria are offered that are relevant for all dictionaries (user, purpose, methods of lexicographical interpretation of dictionary units) and for cultural linguistic, in particular, the type of culturally significant information. I. The user is one of the most important criteria when allocating dictionary type. Focused on a specific destination, the aim and purpose of the dictionary are linked. The users of cultural linguistic dictionaries can be 1) foreigners studying Russian 2) Russian speakers. In accordance with this cultural linguistic dictionaries can be divided into 1) educational cultural linguistic dictionaries and 2) nonacademic cultural linguistic dictionaries. II. Lexicographical methods used for representation of the word (ie semantization) (definition, interpretation, description and exposition of) educational cultural linguistic dictionaries can be divided into 1.1) explanatory, 1.2) explanatory and descriptive, 1.3) explanatoryexpositional. Note that explanatory-expositional dictionaries ? is a kind of theoretical abstraction, free place in the typology. III. By type of culturally significant information explanatory-expositional dictionaries can be catergorised into 1.1.1) cross-cultural dictionaries, 1.1.2) linguocultural dictionaries and 1.1.3) country-specific dictionaries. IV. Nonacademic dictionaries on the lexicographical methods of presentation and use of words (ie semantization) can be divided into explanatory-descriptive and attributive-descriptive. By type of culturally significant information, explanatorydescriptive dictionaries are divided into ?lingvokulturovedcheskie? and ?lingvokulturologicheskie? and attributivedescriptive correlate with linguistic ? encyclopedic. Review of domestic and foreign cultural linguistic dictionaries allowed to generate their lists as well as to carry out their typology and classification. In addition, understanding gained from the lexicographical experience made it possible to identify a vacancy in existing dictionaries and thus indicate the prospects for creating a new dictionary.
