Abstract
The article deals with rise and evoution of the Contemporary Turkish theatre in pre-republican period, the existing totalitarian regime in the Ottoman Empire and its influence on the cultural development of the Turkish society. Special attention is paid to the historical processes that accompany the emergence the author’s drama, assumptions, played an important role in entering of Turkish literature in the world literature. The study analyzes the main genre palette author drama theme plays, reception of Western influence on the foundation of the Turkish literary traditions. The article revealed weaving traditions of Turkish folk drama with different forms of reception of Western dramatic literature.
