Abstract

Showed role of I.P. Pavlova in learning digestion of animals. He is author complete surgeon methodic, which provide possibility carry out on animal, which recovery after operation, observing in natural conditions. Scientist wrote lectures about work of main organs of digestion and 'Physiology chirurgery of digestion’s organs", which played important role in development of all world physiology and it diseases. He is the author of a complex surgical technique , which provides the opportunity to spend a long time on an animal that recovered after surgery , observation of natural or slightly altered conditions. It is the first time in the history of physiological science has managed to impose a permanent fistula animal pancreas. Its was difficult technically to perform as a result of this operation outside deduced pancreatic duct , which is located deep in the abdomen . Scientist cut out a small piece of the bowel wall which opens the duct gland and sewed it to the surface of the abdomen. Through this hole could collect pure pancreatic juice andstudy its effect. This innovative method of Pavlov principledifferented from the methods which were proposed before him by the German physiologist -Veymannom , Bernstein ( imposition of temporary fistula) - formed the basis ofall future proposals in this direction. It should be noted that I.P.Pavlov was first ever Physiology who can prove the presence of strayand sympathetic nerves specific secretory fibers. Over 25 years of I.P.Pavlov withstaff have studied on the physiology and pathologyof digestion. The work of this scientist resulted in numerous theses by workers of the Pavlov’s laboratory and two fundamental works by I. P. Pavlov himself ? "The Lectures on the Operation of Main Digestive Glands" (1897) and "The Physiological Surgery of the Digestive Tract" (1902) ? which played a significant role in the development of the whole world physiology and clinical picture of the digestive apparatus diseases. The scientists all around the world were surprised by the innovative and in-depth character of his discoveries, the great amount of experimental evidence and the application of new, original methods of research. This book was translated into different foreign languages, such as German in 1898, French in 1901, and English in 1902, and brought world-wide fame to I. P. Pavlov. The work of this scientist and his assistants has become an important heritage to physiologists and doctors all around the world. These works laid the foundation for modern understanding of digestion physiology. Thus, the scientific achievements of I. P. Pavlov have had a great affect on the digestion physiology of animals. His works on the application of a permanent pancreas fistula to animals, studying of gastric juice discharge performed by the stomach by means of the so called "imaginary feeding" and creation of a "miniature stomach" made a revolution in the physiology of that time and are still actual.
