RESTORATION OF REAL NOISY IMAGE USING DENOISING AND ENHANCING TECHNIQUE S

Noise always disturbs image quality. Many filters can be used for denoising purpose but adds blurry effects. The need of removin g degradation and preserving image details is become interesting research area in Image Processing. This paper presents a method for image restoration. T he proposed method is based on three major techniques, Phase preserving approach, Normalization techniq ue and Wavelets Transformation (WT). T his study focuses to restore an image that has an additive white Gaussian noise and the proposed method is trying to restore it approximately to look like the original. The results obtained in MATLAB shows the denoising technique minimises noise present in the image and Wavelet Transform restore the image to a certain extent.
