ОСОБЕННОСТИ ОБРАЗОВАНИЯ ПЕРЕКИСИ ВОДОРОДА В ЭПИТЕЛИАЛЬНЫХ ОПУХОЛЯХ

The aim of study was to determine the characteristics of hydrogen peroxide generation in epithelial tumors of different localization. Methods: The researches of enzymes activity were examined spectrophotometrically in 88 tumors and nonneoplastic tissues of resection margin. Results: We demonstrated that glutathione peroxidase activity in tumors is lower by 2 - 3 times as compared to non-neoplastic tissues of resection margin. This being accompanied by increase of superoxide dismutase (by 1,3 ? 1,8 times, р < 0,05) and xanthine oxidase activities (р < 0,05) in tumors. Changes in their activity in the tumors can lead to increased levels of peroxide. Conclusion: These findings suggest that tumors are capable of hydrogen peroxide generating.
