Abstract
The paper describe theoretical and approach for the process of PVC pipe manufacturing and friction in pipe. As we have seen above, rigid PVC is 100%recyclable without loss of mechanical performance and the use of recycled PVC makes a major contribution to increasing energy performance in the manufacture of pipes. Collection (which is expensive) still needs to be encouraged, in order to provide a sufficient flow of used pipes and enable recycling on an industrial scale. The only problem, if we dare mention it, is that in service PVC pipes are proving more durable than the minimum requirements. Consequently, they are lasting longer and the recycling industry is short of raw material.
