A key for Freshwater Benthic Invertebrates at Sohag, Egypt

Abstract
The present work aims to survey the benthic communities in River Nile in Sohag governorate, Egypt. Twenty seven taxa were recorded from the collecting six sites during the period from March 2011 until March 2012. These taxa belong to four phyla and eighteen families. One family from phylum: Nematoda, three families from Phylum: Annelida, nine families from phylum: Mollusca and five families from phylum: Arthropoda. Identification key for the recorded benthic species is provided.
