Abstract
Dynamically symmetric rigid body on a string suspension is considered. Suspension length varies in a piecewise constant periodic law. The loss of stability of the system of the rotation around the axis of dynamic symmetry is investigated. Research is carried out using the Floquet theory and perturbation theory. The sufficient conditions of instability are obtained.
