Fabrication Of M-Type Barium Ferrite Nano-Powder With Citrate Sol-Gel Precess

Abstract

Abstract Nano-powder of M-type barium ferrite BaFe12O19 were prepared by citrate sol-gel process with the starting materials of stoichiometric amounts such as BaNO326H2O FeNO339H2O and citric acid. The phase analysis was characterized by x-ray diffraction XRD . The microscopic morphology of the as prepared nano-powder was observed with transmission electron microscope TEM. The average crystallite size of M-type barium ferrite nano-powder was found to be about 50 nm. The results show that nano-BaFe12O19 powders was obtained by citrate sol-gel process.
