A study of DMT line code method and DWMT line code method in ADSL transmission system

Performance of two ADSL systems, namely DMT line code method and DWMT line code method, has been analyzed and compared. Modling and analysis of the transmission characteristic at various bandwidth in the existing copper telephone line used in ADSL system has been performed. Then the effects of the noise surroundings such as AWGN, NEXT, FEXT and impulse noise on the transmission performance of ADSL system based DMT and DWMT line code has been analyzed. The acquired results were used to compare the transmission performance of the two ASDL system.
