Abstract
Application services which are real-time service or multimedia service (VOD, VoIP, Web, TV) with a demand for high priority QoS (Quality of Service) in Internet cause the increase of Internet traffic. IETF proposed MPLS technology which can transfer the traffic with high speed to accept and explosive increase of data traffic. Application services with high QoS is to be granted with the same quality of service event if a network fail occurs. For this purpose, IETF proposes two recovery methods which are so called pre-qualified method and establish-on-demand. The former method does not consider the current status of the network when the network is failed It does not achieve the optimized network resource usage. In the latter case, it accomplishes the network optimization in the expense of promptness of the recovery procedure. In this paper, we propose a new method which computes alternate path dynamically when the network status changes so that it achieves the network optimization as well as prompt recovery of the failed LSP.
