Abstract
The article analyzed mentioning of the Ancient Rome bankers in Roman inscriptions placed in one of the most complete collections of Latin texts ? ?Corpus of Latin inscriptions?. To reveal the topic Latin inscriptions found in the city of Rome, Italian regions and some of Roman provinces were used. Mentioning of two categories of Roman bankers: argentarii and nummularii was provided, and also it was determined that free Romans, freedmen and slaves could be Roman bankers. Analyzed Latin inscriptions contribute a unique material on the social composition and location of Roman bankers, and this information is vital to the continued study of credit and banking relations in Ancient Rome.
