Abstract
The article presents the material which allows improving the effectiveness of teaching the subject prosthetic dentistry from the second through fifth years of study at Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University. Optimization of the learning process consists in the development of teaching methods to prepare students for self-improvement of their knowledge and skills for future professional activity, depending on the psychological characteristics of students - future doctors as a factor in the educational process organization.
