Abstract
A new spectrophotometric method for determination of Metformin depending on the reaction between the Metformin and 9,phenyl 2,3,7, hydroxyl 6- fluorine reagent . Simultaneous determination of Metformin in concentration interval of (10?50μg.ml-1) by measuring the amplitude of peak-to-base line, zero cross at certain wavelengths and the area under peak at selected spectrum intervals. The methods showed reasonable precision and accuracy and have been applied to determine Metformin in four different pharmaceutical preparations
