Abstract
In the article has been investigated the essence of sustainable economic development. Differences of concepts of sustainable economic growth and sustainable economic development were analyzed. Necessity and feasibility of humanity's transition to a sustainable economic development model, the basis of which acts innovation activity were grounded.
