Development of a hierarchical control system of the glass-making furnace

Abstract
The following article analyzes shortcomings of approaches to control of thermal conditions in glass-melting process by separate controllers that lead to decreasing of quality of glassware. Also considered the problem of furnace temperature control, complexity of glass-melting process, high demands for energy efficiency and quality of initial production, based on which was proposed the hierarchical structure of control system of glass-melting process that will neutralize the disadvantages of individual approaches and perform the task. The hierarchical structure of the control system provides multi-level process control, and is divided into three levels: lower (PID controller), average (fuzzy controller) and a higher level (expert system).
