Abstract
A new, simple, rapid and novel spectrophotometric method has been developed for simultaneous estimation of Chlorthalidone (CLR) and Losartan Potassium (LOS). The combination is estimated by AUC method . It involved measurement of area under curve in the wavelength range 280-290.5 and 235-245 for Chlorthalidone and Losartan Potassium respectively. Beer’s law obeyed in concentration range of 2-10 ìg/ ml and 4-20 ìg/ ml for Chlorthalidone and Losartan Potassium respectively. The proposed method is recommended for routine analysis since they are rapid, simple, accurate and also sensitive and specific. It involves no heating and no organic solvent extraction. These method was validated for precision, reproducibility, linearity and accuracy as per ICH guidelines.
