Abstract
ABSTRACT To perform the test of the existence of the target and background and discriminate between them in different bands in similar temperature, threshold method is proposed in this study. We proposed a procedure to calculate discriminability function (DF) by using two equations in order to discriminate between target and background, the resulted values of DF from these equations is plotted as function of target temperature (Tt) and emissivity (1- in different wavelength under two selected case of atmosphere transmission variable ( =0.6-1) and invariable ( =1). The data are resulted from these equations is converted into image and analyze which equation is appropriate to calculate DF. The output programs from the best equations can be used as a code and feed or put it in a chip of IR missile use for tracking, detection and discrimination target from background or discrimination multiple targets.A modeling program is performed using MATLAB program in order to verify proposed method.
